What we can tell you: the shell is wind-resistant and the inside is lined with thick fleece. How warm you feel depends on the wind, how much you move and what you wear with them. For long hours sitting still in deep cold, wear a base layer underneath.
How do I wash them?

Turn them inside out and wash at 104°F (40°C). Let them air dry so they keep their shape.
